As I sit here this morning with Spirit, I feel guided to discuss a little about the difference between emotions and feelings, how anger and frustration may manifest in your life as well as the message that it is communicating to you in order to help you co-create the life that your heart and soul is asking you for.
You will all experience emotions and feelings throughout your everyday life, as they play a powerful and significant role in how you experience and interact with the world and are the driving force behind many of your behaviours, helpful and unhelpful, positive and negative. Emotions are different to feelings in that they play out in your physical body, reflect your inner-world, are instinctual, usually temporary and designed to help you survive by producing quick reactions to threat, reward and everything in between within your environment. When an emotion comes up in your physical body, your brain perceives it and often assigns meaning to it based on your personality, personal experiences, beliefs and memories causing feelings, which are simply personal mental interpretations of the emotions your body is experiencing. These feelings that you assign to your emotions may persist and grow over time and can vary greatly from person to person and situation to situation based on what is happening in your external-world.
Now, anger and frustration are feelings that some of you may have assigned, consciously or unconsciously, to situations, experiences and events that have taken place in the past (often from childhood) or are currently taking place in your everyday life and generally move through five (5) stages:
Anger or frustration may present itself, for example if you are holding onto grudges, bitterness, resentments, hurt or blame which can then affect you personally, creating imbalances and manifest in your physical body in the following three (3) ways:
If you are experiencing any of the above on a physical level, it is important to remember that it is simply the Universe sending you a message to let you know that you have some unresolved or unhealed anger and frustration in your emotional body which must be transformed, shifted and healed in order to get you back into alignment with your authentic self and encouraging you to come back “home”, to love. Essentially you are being asked to transform the anger and frustration into back into joy, love or forgiveness depending on what the source of any anger or frustration is so that you can create more space in your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies for new opportunities, experiences, situations and relationships which are more loving, joyful and peaceful to manifest and be present in your world.
